When I first moved here in 1999, I was awestruck by the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains. They are actually Blue! Check out the photo. I love the majestic and serene feeling I get when I take the time to really just sit and enjoy. I have found the mountains to be very soothing and I have actually learned to relax a little more. Whenever we travel, and we start to see the mountains as we are coming up the Saluda grade, I never tire of the magificance of their quiet beauty.
Hendersonville is situated 26 miles south of Asheville on Interstate #26. Western North Carolinians have certainly been blessed with living in one of the most naturally beautiful areas in the country. Everywhere you go you are surrounded by mountains and beautiful vistas. It is hard to imagine anyone not wanting to relocate here or a better time to buy a home. Residents enjoy all four seasons with especially beautiful springs and falls. It is said that the Blue Ridge Mountains are the oldest mountains in the world. Even though we have experienced a decrease in the housing market, we are expected to have an increase in the coming year of 2011. If you are interested in living a simplier life, Hendersonville is a place that allows that to happen. Come see for yourself!
